My coworkers are really smart, everyone truly cares about the success of our customers, and I know that each day, I’ll face a new challenge that will push me to learn and grow.
The Epic attitude is all about working together. My office is near others from my team which makes it easy to ask each other questions and, for help beyond my team, everyone at Epic is willing to pitch in to get through the challenge at hand.
From early on in my career, I was trusted to apply good judgment and independent thinking. This gives me a great opportunity to be creative and use my love of problem-solving which drew me to engineering in the first place.
Learning more about usability has really helped to shape my career. It gave me experiences with customers, helped me learn how to coordinate events at Epic and introduced me to people in many different teams and roles.
As a team lead, it is important for me to think creatively everyday about how I can ensure the success of my team members. I am in a unique position to offer advice and to help them find new opportunities for growth.

Epic's campus is designed with a sustainable future in mind. We carefully consider the environmental impact of our company's growth: Today, tomorrow, and for the next 100 years.
Our Software
Epic customers throughout the world realize substantial environmental-related benefits by empowering patients with MyChart, reducing paper use, and guiding providers towards a more sustainable practice.
Preservation
We protect valuable features on campus, including a prairie remnant, Native American burial mounds, historic barns, 600+ acres of farmland, 200-year-old oak trees, wetlands, and endangered species.
Transportation
We use underground parking to create more green spaces on campus and promote bus travel with subsidized Madison Metro routes. Biking is encouraged with on-site shower facilities, ample bike racks, and nearby trails.
Geothermal System
Most campus buildings are heated and cooled year-round via this system. It requires no natural gas and uses less electricity than traditional heating and cooling systems. Our system is one of the largest in the world.
Wind and Solar Energy
We save energy with wind turbines and solar fields—enough to power more than 2,500 homes (and counting!). More than 20% of electricity used on campus comes from these renewable sources.
Green Roofs
Our vegetated roofs mitigate the heat island effect and capture rainwater, decreasing runoff. They enhance air quality and provide insulation, reducing energy consumption by up to 60%.
