Architect
Position Summary
Epic is looking for a full time Business Objects setup and performance expert to help our customers design, optimize, and support their Business Objects Intelligence platforms and troubleshoot BO performance issues. You'll be a knowledge master, helping our clients to engineer server configurations that provide the scalability and reliability they need and stepping in to solve particularly complex problems as they arise.
While customers are in the process of installing Epic, upgrading to a new release, or integrating with Business Objects, you'll help them configure their BO servers to meet their needs. You'll play a key role in validating design and configuration proposals, project planning, and installation configuration. You'll work with customers to field questions, offering tricks of the trade and making sure they know what's important as they set up their system.
After the architecture is complete, you'll act as the resident expert, solving challenging BO performance issues, and sharing your knowledge with customers and Epic teams. Your eye for detail, problem solving ability, and Business Intelligence expertise will allow our customers navigate and excel in the ever-expanding field of Healthcare reporting.

Requirements
- In depth understanding of SAP BusinessObjects architecture
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects administration, security, backup and restore process
- Experience with all aspects of CMC, CMS and CCM administration, including troubleshooting and tuning
- Several years of relevant work experience installing, maintaining and monitoring BusinessObjects server systems in a clustered environment
- Experience with migrating reports, universes, Dashboards etc. using Import Wizard and LifeCyle Manager
- Ability to troubleshoot performance problems with SAP BusinessObjects software such as Explorer, Web Intelligence, Universes, Crystal Reports
- Preferred Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform
- Working Knowledge of SAP BI 4.0 and extensive knowledge of XI 3.1
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or several years relevant work experience
- A history of academic and professional success
- Relocation to the Madison, WI area is required and covered
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
