Position Summary
Build software with a purpose.
As a developer at Epic, your work will directly impact the way 40% of Americans receive healthcare - in fact, it's likely you will affect the life of someone close to you. Working at the junction of two growing fields, medicine and computer science, you'll help create the best software for your users' needs - from the massively scalable database to the user interface for visualizing complex information. You'll meet with doctors, nurses, and other frontline professionals to understand their workflows and turn their needs into innovative software. Your work will help reduce medical errors, improve the management of chronic diseases, and find new ways to facilitate collaboration between patients and their care teams.
You'll build multi-tier enterprise software for large healthcare organizations while working in a collaborative, one-of-a-kind environment that was designed with you in mind. You'll enjoy the atmosphere and energy of a startup coupled with the benefits of a leading software company. You may toss around ideas during a brainstorming session in a conference room that looks like it came straight from Super Mario Brothers, or spend the afternoon in our tree house while laying the framework for your newest project.
When the time comes to get down to the business of writing code, you'll enjoy the quiet provided by your office. You'll work with numerous technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, Caché, VB6, and HTML as well as a variety of devices, from mobile tablets and phones to large wall-mounted screens. Requirements
- BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- A history of academic and professional success
- Visa sponsorship is available. No corp-to-corp.
- Relocation to Madison, WI (reimbursed)
