Professional: I started as an information analyst in a hospital in Amsterdam.

What do you like about working at Epic?

At Epic you get a lot of responsibility for a particular customer. Scary at first, but you really build a connection with that customer and work together to get everything running as smoothly as possible.

What are the projects you've worked on and what role did you play?

In the first year at Epic in the US, I worked as a typical application technical specialist: solving issues at a customer, helping out at go-lives. At Epic Europe we're more a jack of all (technical) trades, supporting multiple applications. In the last few months I've also served as the technical project leader of a new customer. My main job there is helping them install Epic, discussing strategies on how to do it and setting up a good support infrastructure around them.

What interests do you have outside of work?

Travel! I just got back from a four week tour along the east coast of Australia and can't wait to go back. Or go to Japan, China, Kenya... When I'm not diving in the Great Barrier Reef I enjoy watching movies, hiking and playing computer games.
