Education:	BS in General Engineering, University of Illinois
Professional:	I worked in Mexico City on a Business Fulbright Grant in New Business Development before becoming a Health and Life Sciences Consultant in Chicago.

Why did you choose to join Epic?

I wanted to stay in the healthcare industry but stop traveling - Epic is a good fit. The culture is hard-working and fun, and the company just keeps growing. Do good. Have fun. Make money. - who doesn't agree with that?!

What do you like about working at Epic?

I like having the opportunity to make a difference every day - in big and/or small ways. Not only do we help improve patient care, if we have suggestions on how to improve life at Epic, we are encouraged to speak up and help implement our ideas. Every day I learn something new. In addition to working with your customer teams and helping them with projects, we can help and own internal projects as well. This means that we are continually being challenged and given the chance to grow.

What are your goals for your career at Epic?

I'm currently a Team Lead and a nursing documentation expert; I'd like to become knowledgeable in more areas of our outpatient product and help lead future development design discussions.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about improving healthcare, in particular the preventive aspect like patient education.

What interests do you have outside of work?

My husband and I do competitive ballroom dancing. I play on co-ed softball and volleyball teams (some of the team dues are paid by Epic since the softball team is an Epic team). I volunteer with the Epic volunteers group and other local organizations (e.g. St Vincent DePaul food pantry). I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, biking, listening to live music, canoeing, etc.
